Iain Davidson
Career background:
Iain graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2003 with a first class BSc Hons. in Genetics. This gave Iain a broad interest in molecular biology and biochemistry, along with a small amount of laboratory experience which he was keen to develop. In order to do this, Iain began a Wellcome Trust Four-Year PhD studentship at the University of Dundee in the Autumn of 2003. After completing a rotation year which broadened his laboratory experience he began his PhD project with Professor J. Julian Blow. Now in his second year of this PhD, Iain is currently investigating the consequences of deregulation of the DNA replication licensing system in Xenopus laevis.
